We offer private tuition for individuals and small groups, either on a regular or occasional basis.

You'll find information on some of our tutors here but we have many others. Some specialise in teaching young beginners while others would be more suitable for advanced tuition. You're sure to find someone to meet your requirements.

Our tutors are all active and passionate chess players whose playing strengh ranges from average club players up to Grandmasters.

Many of us have wide experience of private tuition and have, between us, been involved in coaching many of the leading junior players in our area over many years. Click here for more information about Richard James.

All our chess tutors have been subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check (they will be able to provide you with a copy of the certificate if required) and are aware of our Child Protection Policy. They will also be able to provide references.

If you are not within reach of any of our tutors, we can also provide tuition over the Internet for members of the Internet Chess Club.
