2026 is the first time this LJCC qualifier will be held. The event will take place on Sunday 20 September. The venue will be Bishop Gilpin School, Lake Rd, Wimbledon. SW19 7EP.
Sections
All sections are qualifying events for the London Junior Championships.
- U8 – Open to players born on or after 1 Sept. 2018
- U10 – Open to players born on or after 1 Sept. 2016
- U12 – Open to players born on or after 1 Sept. 2014
Entry Fees
All entries must be accompanied by the correct entry fee, which is £25.00. There is a discount of £5.00 to members of Richmond Juniors, or students of an affiliated school. There is also a further discount of £3.50 for players who are members of the English Chess Federation, at Gold level. The process for joining or renewing ECF Membership is explained on its website at https://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-membership-rates-and-joining-details/. An offer of one year’s free membership is available for juniors who have not previously been members of the Federation.
Entry Limits and Late Entries
Space is limited to 80 entries. Early entry is advised. Entries by Friday, 18th September, please. Late entries may be accepted, but will incur a late entry fee of £3. Entries on the day will incur a £5 surcharge.
