Format
The tournament is an 11 round FIDE Rated Swiss.
Pairings will be generated automatically using Swiss Manager.

Time Control
4 minutes per player per game, with the addition of 2 seconds per completed move throughout.
Default Time
The default time is the entire initial time allocated to the player, i.e. 4 minutes.

Notes:
- Prizes will be paid by bank transfer.
- Shared places will be split using Buchholz Cut-1.
- No player can win more than one prize.
- If a player is eligible for two or more prizes, they will be awarded the most valuable.
- All published FIDE and ECF ratings must be below the stated threshold to be eligible for a Rating Prize.
- Unrated players will only be eligible for a Rating Prize if they provide evidence of their playing strength being below the rating cut-off. Decisions on this matter are in the sole discretion of the Organiser.
- Eligibility for the Junior U18 Prizes depends on being under 18 years of age at the start of the current academic year.
- Eligibility for a Richmond Juniors prize requires being a member for a least a full term in the past year.
- Richmond Juniors staff are not eligible for a Richmond Juniors prize.
